In early July of 2024, while hosted on another platform, That’s Entertainment was hacked. The damage was enough that we had to step in and redesign the site. Michael didn’t want much changed from the previous design, so we largely kept the design the same and just tightened up a few elements. The site continues to generate income and targeted SEO continues to drive traffic to the site.

In addition to designing the website, we moved the hosting from GoDaddy to our own hosting services. By switching to our hosting services, Michael’s site, ThatEntertains.com, is fast and secure with our lightning-fast, eco-friendly, secure servers.

Writing Services

We provide ongoing writing services that include news, reviews, lists, and opinion pieces. While the strategy is creating compelling and engaging content, we also strategized which topics would attract the most views to maximize writers’ (both That’s Entertainment in-house writers and our freelance writers) time and interests.

Podcast

While the podcast was active, we recorded, edited, produced, and distributed That’s Entertainment. We also saw an opportunity to take a section of the show—about ABC’s Once Upon a Time—and spin it off into its own show.

YouTube Channel

We took the existing content on the That’s Entertainment YouTube and rebranded their page to match the current website,  organized their videos into easily digestible playlists, and provided scripted videos for the page.

Formerly known as the Philadelphia Podcasting Society, we were charged with rebranding the organization as a more inclusive creative arts organization. Wanting to capitalize on the success of the past, it was decided to simply extend the name to the Philadelphia Podcasting Society & Creative Arts Alliance. We developed a new logo and a few marketing materials (a banner, pamphlets, etc.).

Live Events

Part of the rebranding phase included jumping into the new organization’s first public event, Fan Expo Philadelphia 2023. The weekend showed a successful launch of the new brand, attracting new members from the tri-state area, a 2000% increase in newsletter signups, and the successful production of two panels and a live podcast at the convention.

Web Design

We are currently designing the website for the Philadelphia Podcasting Society & Creative Arts Alliance as a place people can go to learn more about the organization, join and support the organization, and find out what events the PPSCAA is putting together.

2023 Update

Original plans were in place to try and put together a Performance Arts Festival in Q3/Q4 of 2023. Delays may push that potential event to Q1 of 2024, but we are still trying to get all the pieces to fall together for a Q4 Festival for the organization.

With very little news and coverage of the comic book world side of the space franchise, our writer spearheaded that subject with news about upcoming releases and reviews of new releases.

Our writer shared the dedication to providing top-notch Superheroes and Comics news, views, and original content. The writer specialized in longer-form opinion pieces and features that often looked at the news the rest of the site was sharing to help give life to the article.

We provided a writer for Dark Knight News—a fan-based site dedicated to the iconic DC hero, Bruce Wayne / Batman. Sharing a love of The Dark Knight with DKN, our writer helped cover all Batman-related news in the world of film, comics, TV, merchandise, and art, and also provided reviews on several DC Comics related to Batman. We also helped introduce the idea of roundtable-style discussions about movies, TV shows, comics, and more.

As of Q4 of 2023, we have taken over maintenance of the Tellest website full-time. This includes weekly backups and WordPress management.

Web Site Consulting

We consult with Michael DeAngelo on changes to the Tellest website.

Video Production

Tellest has run several Kickstarters to launch several book series set in that fantasy world. The videos helped those crowdfunding projects reach success and books are still being released today.

Writing Services & World Building Consulting

We provided a writer who helped expand the world of Tellest by writing short stories and developing several characters. Those characters continue to be a mainstay within the world and are part of current-day stories. We also consult with Michael on those characters and newer entries within the world.

2023 Update

Part of taking over the maintenance in Q4 of 2023 was analyzing the site. In our findings, we discover that the current design leads to breaks in functionality when the site is properly maintained and updated. In Q1 of 2024, we will be designing a new site per the requirements of Michael DeAngelo while meeting today’s standards in design functionality.
